Welcome to All Saints Scrip!

What is Scrip?

Scrip is a fundraising program at All Saints to help families raise money for both All Saints Elementary School AND for their Xavier Catholic Schools' tuition bills or one of the charitable funds at All Saints Parish, all without spending any extra money!

Scrip is fundraising while you shop at places you already go.  SCRIP is a gift card or certificate bought through the school at a discount then sold to you at face value.  SCRIP sells many popular gift cards including Casey's, Kwik Star, Fareway, Walmart, Target, Cost Cutters and many more. SCRIP gift cards are available for endless places that you are already going to -- fast food, salons, restaurants, retail, travel, home improvement stores, the mall and more. The money earned by SCRIP is then split 50/50 with All Saints School (for technology initiatives) and your family (for tuition or a parish fund).

The term scrip has historically been used as an alternate name for gift card fundraising, since scrip refers to an alternate form of currency. Instead of selling goods or planning events, gift card (aka scrip) fundraising participants can earn for their fundraiser or cause by using gift cards to pay for everyday purchases.

How does Scrip work?

Scrip is gift card fundraising. Earn simply by buying gift cards to use for everyday purchases, instead of cash or credit cards.

The concept is simple: the All Saints Scrip program purchases gift certificates and gift cards, or scrip, from popular retailers at a discount, which the retailers are happy to give because they're guaranteeing themselves customers and some goodwill advertising. Families then buy the gift certificates from the Scrip program at face value. The difference in price (the "rebate") is kept in the Scrip program. Families spend the scrip at the retailer, where it's worth the full face value; they haven't spent an extra dime to help the school, nor have they had to change stores.

One of the unique aspects to the All Saints Scrip program is the scrip rebates are shared 50/50: half of the rebate goes to the school, and the other half is directed by the purchasing family. You could use your SCRIP earnings to help reduce tuition expenses at All Saints Preschool/All Saints School/Regis/Xavier and for Religious Education. It also can be applied to Childcare, Teachers Assistance Fund, Scholarship Fund, All Saints Church, Haiti Fund, Metro Catholic Outreach (Loaves and Fish) or it may also be applied towards another family's tuition such as a grandchild or any student. You may decide where you would like it to go.

How does Scrip help ME?

50% of the scrip rebates earned benefit All Saints Elementary School, and the remaining 50% is applied as the purchasing family chooses. For example:

How does Scrip benefit All Saints Elementary School?

APT (All Saints Parents and Teachers) manages the Scrip program at All Saints. 50% of the rebates earned through scrip sales are used by APT to finance various school endeavors that they could not otherwise afford, such as the continuing technology needs of the school.

Who can use Scrip?

Scrip can be used by ANYONE! You do not need to have a child enrolled at the school, nor be a member of the parish, to participate in scrip. Multiply your Scrip earning by having your business, friends and relatives (especially grandparents) designate their earnings for your child's tuition or the rebate can be designated to go to any of the above funds. In fact, many of our retailers are national brands, and with online ordering and e-cards, you don't even need to be in the local area to purchase and use scrip!

Okay, now show me an example of how this works.

See how easy it is to buy and earn online with this example:

THANKS, GAP!

Your earnings come from the brand, so no extra money out of your pocket.

How do I sign up for Scrip?

There are two ways to sign up for our Scrip program. The best way is to sign up online through our scrip vendor, RaiseRight, at https://www.raiseright.com/enroll?enrollCode=A6399D1L1346.  Our enrollment code is "A6399D1L1346", and we are listed as "All Saints School - Cedar Rapids, IA". Here is a step-by-step guide to sign up: www.raiseright.com/resources/participant/start-earning/, plus a tutorial video.

The other way to sign up for our Scrip program is to contact us directly, either by filling out a paper order form  or emailing the coordinator (scrip@allsaintscr.com). We will need your name, a phone number and/or email address (if we have questions, or to notify you that your order is ready), and where you would like your earnings to be applied.

How do I order Scrip?

The best way to order scrip is online through the RaiseRight app or at RaiseRight.com. It has the most complete, up-to-date listing of all the available vendors and their current rebates, it is the only way to order e-cards and refill existing cards (we cannot order e-cards or refills with paper orders), it prevents ordering errors, and it is SO much easier on our Scrip program volunteers!

An alternate way to order scrip is by filling out a paper order form (available at the scrip drop boxes and online), and returning it to one of the Scrip drop boxes or to the All Saints Parish or Elementary School offices. Our order form only lists a very small subset of the hundreds of scrip choices available for purchase, including all of our local participating retailers, and the full list of national brands is available here: www.raiseright.com/brands. You can pay for your scrip either when you place your order, or when you pick up your order.

Finally, we offer in-person sales of scrip from our inventory. Currently we sell scrip after weekend masses on the first full weekend of the month, when we have sufficient volunteers.

How do I pay for scrip?

If you place your order using the paper order form, you can pay by cash or check, either when you drop off your order form or when you pickup your order from the school or parish offices. Please do not place cash in the scrip drop boxes!

If you place your order online, you can pay online from your checking account or a credit card, or you can select "pay coordinator" and pay with cash or check in the parish or school offices.

When will my order be ready?

If you order e-cards or refill existing your cards, and pay online, you should have your scrip ready is just a few minutes. If you order e-cards and choose to "pay coordinator", your scrip will be available after we receive your payment and release the order.

If you order physical cards to be sent to your home, and pay online, they will be sent directly from RaiseRight according to their shipping method and schedule. See https://www.raiseright.com/resources/faq/ for more information.

For physical cards, whether an online order to be "sent to organization" or a paper order in the scrip drop box or the parish and school offices, these orders are processed and filled on Monday and Friday mornings. If we do not have the cards you ordered in stock, we will order them and they should be ready in a few days. You will receive an email or a text message when your order is ready to pick up. Orders will be available for pick up from the Parish Office during the week and the Scrip table during in-person weekend sales, unless you request otherwise.

How do I indicate where I want to direct my Scrip earnings?

You can choose where to direct your scrip earnings on a paper order form; or by simply emailing the scrip coordinator (scrip@allsaintscr.com) and stating your name, the student's name and school (for tuition) or the name of the desired fund as listed on the order form.

If we do not have your choice on file, and you have a student at All Saints Elementary School, we will assume you wish to apply your earnings toward their tuition. Otherwise, if we do not know how you would like your earnings applied, it will go to the tuition assistance fund.

Scrip selections will apply to all earnings for that year (beginning in May), and will remain in effect until we are notified otherwise. To change or verify where your scrip earnings will go, please email the scrip coordinator at scrip@allsaintscr.com.

When will I see my Scrip earnings?

All of the Scrip earnings are tabulated and disbursed annually each May. If you choose to apply your scrip earnings towards tuition, you will see it on your tuition bill for the upcoming school year. If you are expecting to see scrip applied to your tuition, and it is missing, please contact the scrip coordinator (scrip@allsaintscr.com) so we can resolve the matter. All other scrip earnings will be sent directly to their requested funds (MCO, Haiti Mission, etc).
